Spunky the Senior finds his furever home!
Spunky has been with us twice during his current 14.5 yrs on the planet. This little Chihuahua mix was first found as a stray back in the fall of 2009 and got adopted a few months later. Back then he was in the prime of his youth. His next eleven years were spent with a good woman in a good home but when her life changed, he had to come back to us. By this time his muzzle was gray and his gait a bitter stiffer, but his spirit was intact. He became a Golden Paw dog, a member of our seniors-with-benefits program for older animals.
His sweet little face caught the attention of Tony who wanted to provide a good home to a dog in need and also give his Chihuahua Taco a friend. We are so grateful for the kindness of Tony and his wife Terri for welcoming Spunky into their home. While Taco initially wasn’t as enthusiastic about Spunky’s adoption as we all were, he is feeling better about his new roomie every day. They are now sharing couch space and cuddle time with their humans and most likely will soon be great friends!
