This past month, Brenda, Oso’s mom, celebrated their adoption anniversary! Brenda was so kind to write something up about life with Oso, here’s what she has to say:

“Osseo: Adopted 4/11/2021 from the SPCA Marathon campus. Being from the Midwest and knowing people who owned huskies, I always wanted to adopt one. I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but I wanted a fur companion after buying my townhome three months prior and living solo. Upon arrival at the SPCA marathon campus, I saw a big red teddy bear staring at me, and I knew I had to adopt him. The scars buried in his fur are a reminder to myself to be gentle and stay patient. He is a very smart, talkative, and mischievous pup who has no problem howling at me when he needs something (or upset when I leave the house). Osseo enjoys going on walks and LOVES riding in my boyfriend’s jeep. We now have two more huskies and he is the best big brother to them. Huge thank you to the Florida keys spca for everything, this beautiful red husky has made my life a heck of a lot better. #adoptdontshop“
