Kiwi Keeps Her Family On Their Toes!
Hello and welcome to Adoption Update Monday! This is a weekly series where we share stories, photos, videos, etc, of animals who have been adopted from our Key West and Marathon Campuses! Today we’ve got an update from Kiwi’s dad:
“We adopted “Dalai” on May 28th, and we quickly discovered her real name is Kiwi! She surprises us every day with new phrases and words, she’s quite the talker. We think she speaks Spanish, but we’re still trying to figure it out!
Kiwi absolutely adores spending time with Dad and is tolerating her brother Cookie (our green cheek conure). Despite sharing the house with both dogs and cats, Kiwi pays them absolutely no mind. She runs the household on her own terms and makes sure everyone knows it!
She’s adventurous with food and often attempts to sneak bites of whatever she’s not supposed to have. Mangos and scrambled eggs are her favorite treats so far. She’s also claimed a Dunkin’ Donuts tumbler as her personal water cup—no other will do!
Kiwi has filled our home with so much laughter and joy. She’s a daily reminder of just how intelligent and special these little beings are. Thank you for the role you played in bringing her into our lives. And remember…. WE’RE BIRD PEOPLE! “
If you adopted an animal from us, we’d love to hear your story! Please send photos, video, or anything else you’d like to jennifer@fkspca.org.
