Floyd Jenkins for King
Thank you for being a part of the King & Queen Campaign to benefit the animals of the Florida Keys SPCA. Learn about how you can support the animals of the Florida Keys SPCA through Floyd aka Pepa for King's Campaign below!
Meet Floyd Jenkins aka Pepa:
Meet Floyd Jenkins, alias “Pepa Mahogany” — and he’s on our MOST WANTED LIST as candidate for King of Fantasy Fest 2025, and the heartbeat of Key West’s community spirit. Here’s why.
From his roots in Flint, Michigan, to his vibrant life in Key West since 2007, Floyd brings a contagious energy and unwavering compassion to everything he touches. By day, he serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police, a role defined by integrity, empathy, and the kind of commitment that earned him “Employee of the Year” from both the City of Key West and the Key West Chamber of Commerce.
But Floyd’s impact only begins at work. As the founder of Pepa’s Books for Tots, he has delivered the magic of books to thousands of children throughout the Keys, nurturing literacy and sparking young imaginations. He champions youth empowerment as a board member for Keys to Be the Change, and stands as Secretary for the Key West Police Department Love Fund, supporting officers’ families in their toughest times.
His dedication extends further: Floyd is a passionate voice on the City of Key West Employee Committee and a creative force on the TEDxCFK Committee, helping to bring TEDx Talks—and big ideas—to the Florida Keys.
When there’s a cause to uplift, Floyd is first on the frontline. He’s cycled 165 miles for The SMART Ride, lip-synced and sashayed across the Real Men Do Drag stage, and dazzled Aqua Idol audiences—all to raise critical funds for organizations like AH Monroe, Sister Season, MARC House, Queer Keys, the Florida Keys SPCA, and the Waterfront Playhouse.
Beyond fundraising and advocacy, Pepa Mahogany lights up the stage with The Fabulous Spectrelles, a Motown-inspired trio known across the islands for spreading joy and bringing communities together.
For Floyd, running for King of Fantasy Fest isn’t about a title—it’s a celebration of everything he loves: lifting others up, creating laughter, and championing causes that matter. As a lifelong animal lover and proud cat daddy - his hairless feline “Poupée” is also WANTED, too - supporting the Florida Keys SPCA makes this royal run close to his heart.
Vote Floyd. Support the animals. And help crown a King who will reign with love, tenacity, and an unstoppable passion for this community which he calls home and his “One Human Family.”
