Little Emci (L) was left in a shopping bag in our drop off pen, along with two other guinea pigs. When Ruby and her family learned we had a single female piggie, they wondered if she would get along with their little girl Caramel Sundae. Guinea pigs are extremely social animals and benefit greatly from having a friend, providing they are compatible same sex or neutered pairs.

Introductions were done slowly, swapping scent-laden blankets at first, then caging side by side, and then supervised visits. All went well and it sounds like these girls are going to be “besties” soon, thanks to their wonderful family. Her new name is Cookie Crumbles!
