Bo Knows Love!
Here’s an adoption update from Bo the Husky! Bo did some hop-skipping through a few homes before coming to us which is not uncommon for larger high energy dogs. He was purchased from a “puppy store” as an irresistibly cute puppy-size bouncy furball, but soon turned into a much bigger bouncy adolescent with the drive and energy of an adult Husky. When his original owner couldn’t keep him, a kind friend took him but after a few weeks found he was also too much for him. Huskys can be one of the most interesting and fun-loving dogs, but they definitely have innate needs for both mental and physical stimulation. This can require lots of daily exercise/adventures which is why so many end up in shelters. For a Husky, a one mile walk on a leash is just a warm up. As beautiful as they are, Huskys are not for everyone but for those ready to meet their needs, they are the best!
Enter Tracey and her husky-loving family! They LOVE the breed, evidenced by the fact they already had one purebred Husky adopted from us some years before and another Husky mix Bo’s history of multiple homes did nothing to deter them. After meeting Bo, they were more than willing to give him a chance. He fit into their home perfectly and now has two beautiful sisters to help him enjoy his best life.
